Jun 9th, 2015Quintessence of Loire red. Pale ruby, nearly transparent color. Aromas of pepper grape stems and a hint of tart red cherry. Lean and crisp, nearly astringent but not robust enough to call it that on the pallet.

Nice, very long held. A little skunky on opening, but after some air it really comes alive.

Oct 19th, 2020Medium to dark color with a subdued nose & a fairly full complex body with a medium length aftertaste. It has blossomed since last tasted several years ago & stood up well to a 1883 Ch Arnauld Haut Medoc & 2004 Palladian Napa Cabernet Sauvignon. 4.5/5.

Dec 29th, 2019A bit of green pepper at first but then cherry comes and takes the stage. Other than that the nose is rather mineral with gun powder and limestone. It feels like pinot noir meets carbernet franc on a chablis soil. The palate is very dry with a strong acid backbone, a good grip on the side, a discreet fruit here and there and very Sandy, dusty tannins that kick off a rather long finish with a freshness somehow and some bitterness. Either it is way too young or it is a food wine that need some fat meat in sauce to get on the next level. It's not bad, it's rather intriguing and I'd like to come to it again.
Edit: weirdly enough a bright fruit is popping up after a while. The wine is cooler and the bottle has been open for a couple of hours now. Note for self : give it time
