Treat yourself to this beautiful wine! Color is a light garnet. From the pour are notes of dried cherry, smoked game and a touch of pepper. First sip was a wow. The second and subsequent have been of a delightfully smooth and soft and round and oh so complex taste. This wine is a reason to play the lottery.

I would say this is a classic Clos: tart cherry brightness with a bit of earth on the finish. I like to think I can pick Clos Pepe blind out of a field of about 100. Oh wait, I did do that. How is that possible? Easy. It's effing awesome.

My last bottle of Clos Pepe. May you live on in my memories. Tasting beautifully balanced and refined right now at its peak. Vintage 2012 tasted July 2018.
