Fruity nose of blackberries, blueberries, cherries, licorice, oak, vanilla, leather, smoke, chocolates and light black pepper.
Medium bodied and smooth, with medium acidity and nice legs.
Dry on the palate and fruity, with blueberries, plums, oak, licorice, spices, chocolates, tobacco, herbs, leather, bitter vegetables and peppercorn.
Medium finish with soft tannins and black pepper.
A nice everyday red wine. Drinking nicely now by itself or with food. Simple and easy drinking with nice acidity.
Drinkable right out of the bottle and better as it opens up. Not bad for a happy hour red wine, but not more than that...
I paired it with cheeses and light appetizers.
13.5% alcohol by volume.
