Big barnyard, country nose with a bit of Dillweed on finish. Not filtered or fined, so slightly cloudy burgundy color. Hay, bacon, anise, coffee flavors right up front. Balanced acid-tannin blend. As it evolves, blackberries, iron/blood notes.

Sep 3rd, 2015Was a great accompaniment to my bifteck hache, and I imagine would be great with any number of bistro-type dishes. Not too dry but still managed to keep some body, didn't take long to open up.
