Hopefully Delectable will find the extensive note I have already made and save me redoing it. It was still submitting after half an hour. Similar story to my 2 previous wines. This was a stunning Northern Rhone look alike.

Very fragrant - spices and notes of violets. From a warmer year in the Canberra district. Always has been Northern Rhone in style. The palate is medium bodied with fine grained ultra savoury Tannins. Australia’s best exponent of the Shiraz/Viognier Blend. Could cellar for another 5 + years if you wish but very good right now.

From a warmer year, a little closed for aromatics but more voluminous than normal on the palate. Trade off of fragrance for body one could say. Always a class act from Clonakilla. Next in a year or two.

From a warmer year. Fuller palate - a little closed on the nose - dumb phase? Black pepper spice and plum. Tim Kirk, owner and wine maker, says this could be the best red wine he has ever made! Lots of potential at 7 years of age.

6/3/9 = 19 out of 100 say 90
Definitely needed minimum 2 hour decant. Viogner still subtly present on the nose with floral fragrances. Incredibly dry finish with decent linger.

A lovely wine; drinking well now but will keep for more years. A superb example of Canberra district shiraz.

A pleasant and light red. Nice fruity notes from the Viognier, but still a nice edginess coming from the Shiraz.
