Ancient Vines Contra Costa County Mourvèdre

Aroma of dusty cherries. Initial taste of viscous dusty plums then a burst of dusty slightly sour cherries. Don’t get me wrong , it is not sour but it has that hint of non sweet cherries. We had this with spaghetti squash carbonara which was perfect.

A little sweet, very smooth, reminds me of a Pinot Noir style.

Here there be monsters. Tobacco and jammy fruits, rich and heavy. Great for a rainy night.

Right out of the bottle there's a strong ripe berry nose. Very low tannins and, after breathing, smooth and nice berry flavor. Quite delicious!
