This is a #sample I received from the Cumulus Wines team in Orange, NSW (thank you 🙏). This bottle of 2016 ‘Climbing’ Shiraz comes from a vineyard 600m above sea level (hence the name).
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
‼️Did you know the Orange Wine Region is the highest, sunniest and largest cool climate wine region in Australia 😲
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
📝 This cool climate Shiraz is a purple-red colour in the glass. Dark berry fruits and leather with a sprinkling of spice come through on the nose. It has no mouth puckering tannins with blackberries, spice and black olives coming through for me. It warmed me up on these chilly days (check out that frost in the pic)!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
All opinions are based on my own taste buds. Wine is subjective & always evolving, so make sure you drink what you enjoy!

Rustic tones. Crisp heights and buttery oak flavours. Apple sharps and lychee. Enjoyable for sure.

Don't fall for the label ... #Rioja with slight vinegar tinge. Pairing with food essential.
