Stags Leap District Cabernet Sauvignon

Dark, powerfull Napa Cabernet fruit. Black tea, smocky notes. Great Focus , Thanks to good acidity and grainy still big quite up Front tannins.

A massive wine. Palate coating with loads of silky tannin. Mulberry, cassis, espresso, fig.

It was very tight and hot. Once it was decanted and chilled down a bit it completely changed to the beautiful wine I am used to

First Cliff Lede experience and really enjoyed this wine. Super dark fruits...juice was basically black. Smelt freshly shaved chocolate pieces on the nose with a mix of espresso. Tasted heavy plums and black currants. After I finished, I realized I love this style.

Sample provided by the estate. First of the two Cabs we received from Cliff Lede. Tasted upon opening and noted that it needed some air, it was tight and overly tannic. Same with the Stardust Heaven. Deep and dark ruby red with an almost black core. Still tight on the nose, slightly savory with some black cherries on the nose. Opened up with some chalk and soft dark fruits. Moderate tannins (7/10) with a full body. Lots of dark fruits with some vanilla and good acidity. Still a bit of heat even on day two. Long finish with some spicy and vegetal notes. A little dry too. Definitely needs some more time but was more approachable in its youth than the Stardust Heaven. Drink till 2028.

2013 vintage. Slate, tobacco, deep fruit, great staycation wine for Volcano, HI. Going to grab another and age it for a few years; solid choice.

This was a gift wine. Well made and very nice for what it is. A Napa steak house Cab. 14.9%

Beautifully Rich and elegant. This was one of my favorite surprise vineyards that I visited and this bottle brings back great memories.

Subtle lingering mid pallet flint and tobacco. Another great 2013🍷
