Beet Salad
Potato gnocchi with truffle
Prime beef tenderloin with truffles
Chocolate framboise and red velvet cake
Fruit from Abreu Madrona and Thorevilos vineyards.
Decant for sediment (lots of chunky/fine sediment). A startling purplish reddish magenta color. On the nose: plum, creme de cassis, smoked meat, mint, vanilla nuts. Taste: This Songbook is singing! A smooth, velvety, balanced medium body wine with blueberry, bitter chocolate, red currants, spice, tar, and a minerally cedar semi dry finish. Nice start to the weekend!

Wow...the bouquet jumps out of the glass with black fruit, forest floor, green veggies. Taste: Currents, leather, black fruit, dried herbs. Some bitter tannins at the end??

Dark black/purple. On the nose: Black fruit, cedar, floral. Taste: Currents, pencil lead, black cherry, ending with a nice little tannic bite and a little alcohol heat in the back of the mouth.....Give this more time for an even better score.

Oct 20th, 2018I’ve never been much of a Napa fan, but... this is, definitely, something else. Elegant black fruit with a hint of herb. This wine is alive and, definitely, celebrating life!!!
