Clay Shannon
The Barkley Lake County Cabernet Sauvignon
NOSE: blueberry, blackberry, cassis, clay, graphite, wax. But - all very mild.
TASTE: the listed berries…all in a pie…there’s a distinct dessert-or-candy impression … plus a little cherry and some other wild berry or fruit I don’t recognize….and all silky, with some (slightly) bitter graphite on the finish. Too fruity and homogenized for the money (to me), but good. It’s the wine equivalent of a decent chain steakhouse. 90.

Maybe my favorite wine? Tasted less good as time went on but let it breathe open bottle for about an hour and when it was fresh it was perfect
