Pale lemon with aromas of blossom and citrus notes. On the palate flavors of zesty lemon citrus, peach and grape notes. Medium finish, lively acidity, ending with a sweet tang. Tasting Sample!

Lime zest all over the place, and some mineralogy. High acid and varietally correct, if not lacking some “interest” factor.

Finally, a Clare Valley Riesling! Had one from Eden Valley but not the classic home so to speak. It did not disappoint, and so far is really one of not many Riesling I've had not from Germany that showed that true essence of its soul - that wet mineral/rubber/zest combo that is all to often smeared over by ripeness, sugar, lack of acid, or whatever else can go wrong. I know I'll like it by the very first smell. This one was odd as well because it had the lemon zest, wet slate, and tennis ball aromas, with a little flower water and grated ginger.. but the pallet was bone dry and very bright, which is expected, but a great balance of acid - lemon candy, under ripe white pear, white pepper, lychee, key lime, mineral. Absolutely refreshing. Sat on the patio, watched the sun go down, had a glass, relaxed.

Great and refreshing. Aromas and flavors of lemon tartness, lime zest, and even petrol. Dry to almost off dry sweetness. Light body but medium flavors. Medium finish.

LOVE my 'mineral zested,' citrusy Clarevale, 2016--it brought sunshine to my dinner-table this wintry 24*-day, very nicely complimenting hub's chicken and lemon-caper sauce. Why wait til summer to enjoy?

Australia, white wine and myself are creeping awfully close to a three way. Varietals that often get a bad wrap from me (Chardonnay) and by the general public (Riesling) shine in a different light down under. Crisp and dry, this Riesling displays excellent notes of citrus, vanilla, peaches, apples and just a hint of that Riesling petrol. The consistent acidity and minerality carry this one through to the finish. Also, dry and still just 12% alcohol - a rare combo. Good stuff.

Takes a minute to open up but it’s nice. A touch of doughy lemony qualities.
