My first bottle of 2012 after exhausting my supply of the 2011 flower cuvees. This is built very much along the same lines. I am finding these cuvees practically vintage-proof so what you get in this much-lauded vintage is not a serious departure from what you get in the not-lauded 2011s, at least in terms of density in weight. It does feel a bit more structured and therefore slower to let some of the details unfurl. But these are some of the most satisfying, silky Burgundies being made today and this bottle is no exception.
