The Torresilo is the top Cuvée from the Cillar de Silos each year. The colour is a dense Ruby. Earthy and Tar aromas - a smoky note. Blackberry, a little prune, liquorice and herbs. A full bodied red wine for sure with Medium minus acid. After a while a whiff of old tea towel - ultra savoury. One of the “1001 Wines to drink before You Die”. Good and solid, not exceptional I will have the next and last in a year or two.

On of my favourite value RdD @ £28 - young but drinking well - needs a few more years for sweetness to ease but still good value 👍 Expect a lot of Spanish this week 😉

🍷 Dark ruby

👃 Oak infused sweet dark cherry in creamy vanilla w/ a touch of cocoa

👄 Med body of slightly sweet dark cherry in vanilla chocolate

🎯 Med cherry choc vanilla sweet kiss

Juicy Ribera. Solid effort from a great vintage. Wish I would've decanted it though. Still needs time to develop.

2009: black fruit concentrated, deep, and powerful. Big lick on new oak, nutmeg, vanilla and chocolate. Sweet tasting, blackberries, good softness, balanced acid with tannin. For those that love new oak styles. Meaty, edge of liquorice. 16 months in new French oak.
