Sep 8th, 2024The Torresilo is the top Cuvée from the Cillar de Silos each year. The colour is a dense Ruby. Earthy and Tar aromas - a smoky note. Blackberry, a little prune, liquorice and herbs. A full bodied red wine for sure with Medium minus acid. After a while a whiff of old tea towel - ultra savoury. One of the “1001 Wines to drink before You Die”. Good and solid, not exceptional I will have the next and last in a year or two.

On of my favourite value RdD @ £28 - young but drinking well - needs a few more years for sweetness to ease but still good value 👍 Expect a lot of Spanish this week 😉
