This is the 2007 vintage. Not sure why I bothered cellaring this long as earlier examples were fresher and more fruit driven. Enjoyable nonetheless. Dry savoury raspberry flavours from the Garnacha. Better than average quaffer. 16.5+

Looks like I'm in a world of dark wines this past week. This is Garnacha Tintorera aka Alicante Bouschet. At 6 years old, there is little degradation to the color. This is not very fresh in aroma, but is still going strong in terms of structure and mouthfeel. I don't think this is improving, but it still interesting. Paid with a Cuban inspired picadillo with ground beef, bell peppers, olives, raisins in a wine/tomato sauce.

A full palate complete with earthy flavors of mulch, tobacco and potpourri. Dances in your mouth like all Spanish wines should ;) Opens well without decanting. 2007, drink now.
