Bold and rich without being tough. Nice touch of smoke like smoked salmon. Quick finish.

Plum overtone in smooth well-balanced rosso di montelcino. Juicy and satisfying.

Full-bodied Rosso from Montelcino with chocolatey texture and taste. No long lingering after-effect would be the only reason that I would rate under 9.0.

Disagree with the sommelier who says this has a short finish. Nonetheless, it's not at its peak yet. Good tannins with some aging potential left. Pretty good balance.

A Syrah in Montalcino? Incredibly floral nose and taste, a dry wine darker and heavier than the Rosso.
