It’s been a long week… this needs a decant - which I’m not going to do. A touch gnarly and brambly.. cinnamon, all spice and blueberry jam on the mid palate. This came across as disjointed. Good, but not tickling my fancy.

Much improved from my recollection of the 14 vintage. Presents blueberries and coffee notes on the nose. Palate is brimming with texture. Tannins are bold, but in check. Beautiful presentation with jet black fruit leads me to think that this has 20 years + ahead of it. Big-time hold at this point.

Love it and all smiles - a cross of what Mayacamas wine would be when made in the Bordeaux style from st Julien specifically leoville style - please decant three hours or rest a little more in the bottle - promise it will last 30 years - deep purple in color actually a beautiful rich purple - dark fruits galore - Christian Moeiux is a genius - sweet cedar wood, unsmoked cigar tobacco, crème de cassis, and black raspberries - full-bodied powerful complex mouthfeel is incredible - maybe this could become a new Dominus
900 cases produced - I think suckling is a little high with his score of 98 but hits many of the marks - I would try this wine compared to a dominus and I bet you will see what I am talking about - Bevan’s napa Bordeaux’s are more approachable upfront and the consistent scores he gets reflects this but given time this should be a wine that will compete and a wine to try - bravo CM - thank you for challenging yourself

Showing much better than the 2013, this was inviting and perfumed. Still needs time in the cellar, but refined and class all the way.

Jun 14th, 2018Second Vintage for this. It was a bit perplexing as the gorgeous fruit of 2013 was blocked off by a stop sign of green. I was shocked really. It does blow off after time, thankfully. Definitely not a wine to drink anytime soon.

This is good juice. Newish Moueix label - sister wine to Dominus. Cool funk on the palate not usually found in this part of Napa. Dense, extracted, but well rounded with tannins. I wouldn't touch for 5 years minimum. Good quality tho.
