Bright nose of blackberries and barrel oak. Palate was brambly, a touch gnarly with prominent tannins. I liked the overall structure, texture and moderate sweetness with perfect, complimentary acidity. This will benefit from some bottle age. A decant may help, but not much. I’m thinking this needs additional bottle age and should further improve.
