Chimney Rock
Napa Valley Sauvignon Blanc
Napa Valley, California, USA
One of the prettiest Sauvignon Blancs I've had in a long time. Beautiful white flower nose, bright acidity, flavors that pop right out of my glass! Jackpot!!!

Dec 12th, 2015After being open for a while more tropical aromas emerge, still with some leesy characteristics and minerality. This isn't super tart, but has nice acidity and a really nice round mouthfeel to it.

Jul 4th, 2015Really liked this crisp, light Sauvignon blanc. It had flavors of white grape, lemon, green grass and a nose of minerality and dried grass. Easy drinking, enjoyed by all.

Nov 12th, 2023Aroma of fruit tartness. Immediate medium hint of pineapple and citrus. A melon taste if you look for it. Not as “bitey” as South American Sav Blancs. A hint-hint of grass at the finish. BBC

Jul 26th, 2018Pale straw with a wide brim and a gorgeous nose of white flowers, peaches, pears, and some really luscious lemon. This is definitely not the top tier Chimney Rock white but you get a feel for the high level of quality early on. I expected a typically tart Sauvignon Blanc but this isn’t screaming Napa to me. It’s far less acidic and tart than most of the others. On the palate there’s fresh cut grass, grapefruit, lemon and lime zest, and a touch of stone minerality. This is the prettiest white wine I’ve tasted in a while.
