Not bad Bordeaux but lacking for the price. More subdued style. Herbaceous and earth centric, with equal distribution of tannin and acid. However, it simply lacks power.

2012v. Deep purple. Not a huge nose on this wine- it's mostly oak and sort of a vegetal/bell pepper smell. Very dry on the palette, with just a little plum. The finish is long, with a noticeable new oak. The tannins are definitely there but not grippy and overbearing. This wine was a little perplexing at first. Further research shows that the winemaker blends merlot, cab franc, and malbec. I prefer the fruitier Fronsacs, but this would appeal to those who like it dry and a little rustic. 14% ABV.

This is a delicious Bordeaux that has a nice licorice hint in the nose and a wonderful taste that lingers with candied plums on the tongue.

Canon Fronsac, how is it that you offer such good values?!? Terroir aplenty at an affordable price and my wife likes it.

Velvety, smooth tannins, slightly silky - A harmonious wine with notes of plum, cassis, blueberry, red fruit, with a hint of vanilla. For a wine that is $25, this really is a great value.

Lush and velvety w decent structure. Black fruits. A bit bigger than it needed to be; as the structure wore off on the third day, the ripeness seemed more pronounced. Good value.

An absolute homerun of black and blue fruit flavors! This was popped and poured and has a silky texture with a mix of earth, tobacco, and iron in the finish. This completely over delivered!
