Solid producer whose wines drink quite well young, but I’m afraid this is a bad bottle. Distracting VA on first pour, but this initial glass had decent red fruit intensity and energy. A few hours in it devolved into a caramel nuttiness. Bad cork?

Generous crushed black fruit, cedar, charcoal, good energy, fine tannins. Never bracing nor plummy. Fermented in cement tanks, aged 18 months in foudres.

Brambly berries and twigs, cocoa dust and eucalyptus. A little stingy with fruit or a little generous with structure depending on your point of view.
