what a delightful oddity. when it comes to age worthy whites, Saumur Blanc is rarely mentioned. aroma of cheese rind on opening; shutdown at first, gradually unfurling white pepper, lightly oxidized golden delicious apple, beeswax, lanolin, and grated horseradish. oh and the acidity gave me life.
