Price $100.

Dark ruby in color with a wide brick rim.

Earthy nose with blueberries, wood, earth, forest floor, dirt, green vegetables, graphite, black pepper, spices and mold. This smells like walking into a cave and smelling the dirt on the ground.

Medium bodied with medium acidity and nice legs. Soft, elegant and smooth.

Dry on the palate with strawberries, raspberries, forest
floor, smoke, green pepper, mashroooms, black pepper, spices, dark coffee, pencil lead, earth and vegetables.

Medium minus on the finish with no tannins and tart cherries.

This 27 year old is over the hill by now, but enjoyable nonetheless. A good food wine. I loved the nose and smelled it for a couple of hours. The palate is very complex and extremely earthy. Nice experience.

I paired it with cheeses, different flatbreads and light appetizers.

13% alcohol by volume.
