A nose that reflects the wine, dark.
Opened for a couple of hours, the wine is classic Bordeaux.
Strength that comes from its ripe fruit - licorice, oregano, tar, almond, black tea.
Chewy tannins round out this one, though my second bottle I will leave alone for 10 more years..

A difficult vintage may explain the awkward taste profile of this ‘12 Medoc. Twenty-four hours in that awkwardness has somewhat subdued (dusty cherry notes still dominant) but can’t find much in this one to give further attention.
