Certainly showing signs of maturity, but displaying a super-fine mousse and lots of baked apple with a bit of nuttiness. Always nice when a wine surprise you- I had fairly low expectations when popping the cork.

One of my favorite sparkling wines. But you won't find anymore of the 2009 vintage. Popped open this bottle on New Year's Eve

Oy, 1998 does not look so good from here. Plenty of bubbles still present, cork was intact, but a bit too oxidized and far too biscuity for my taste. *not stored in an ideal environment, which may have led to this wines slow demise.
