Rich black cherry, chocolate, and blackberry jam. This is not a Pinot for the faint of heart.

A phenomenal wine. Especially for celebrating our engagement! Stoney turning to earthy nose as it sits, maybe some tart fruits. Very complex layers for Pinot on the palette, which we love. Plum, cherry, hickory spice, maybe a hint of smoke. Silky smooth, deep. It's just interesting. Not your typical Pinot.

Not cheap, bought at the winery or sent with a wine shipment. Good, dark, rich, chewy for a Pinot, slippery mouthfeel, pepper, black fruits.

Bit of candied fruits and cola.

Pleasantly surprised. Really opens up. Spice, nice fruit with a long finish.

Fabulous Pinot. One of the best varietals from Chateau St. Jean I've tasted. True to its Russian River roots, beautiful red color, smooth to the taste and finish. Stands well on its own, for these remaining cooler evenings...

I might have shorted this a bit at 9.0. An elegant and rich Pinot. Bursting with dark fruits and spice, very smooth long finish. I'm enjoying this much more than I expected I would. It paired well with red sauce and meatballs. A real winner.
