Aug 19th, 2016Big impressions of black cherry on the aroma. With some air, a delicate wet wood and asphalt note appears and it takes me back to wet autumn afternoons in New England.
Upfront there are some old world flavors that are balanced by orange blossom. The mouthfeel is sticky and the heat is long and slow. So it makes me think of letting a drop of hot honey hang out on the tongue.

Notably better than a bottle last March. This is showing a little more delineation and offers a nice, velvety mouth feel. I don’t know that I would cellar this for the long haul, but it’s a good Bordeaux blend to enjoy now and over the next 2-3 years.
