Cru Bourgeois Haut-Médoc Red Bordeaux Blend

Blackberry, cassis and cream. Sweet, voluptuous fruit and very soft, plush tannins. Well above its station as an everyday wine.

Nose - really fragrant. Plum, currant, french oak, violet.
Palate - medium body, low-med acidity. Plum and currant. Finish is reasonably long, but subtle. On day 1, it seemed thin on the mid palate, but opened up nicely on days 2-3. Definitely benefits from decanting. Overall a very balanced, above average everyday wine.

Alright for a free or very low priced wine.

2010 vintage. Dust, dark cherry, petrol on the nose. Velveteen mouthfeel. Ripe plum, prunes, milk chocolate on the finish. Harmonious.

Really nice. Medium tannins, deep black fruits. My kind of everyday wine.

Full body, very nice black currant taste, firm tannins and long finish. Pleasant for evening with blue cheese.

Much better than my last bottle. Better with more air. Day two and three show more classic gravelly aromas. Fairly suave texture, this is approachable now and could use a good decant to open aromatics.

Eh. Plenty fleshy, but seems to lack some acidity, wet stone or even fruity aromas. Maybe this will come with time...

The guest at the table who is subtle and never starts the conversation, but is ready to keep it going. Welcome indeed. Value wine.

Mid tannin. Flat fruit. Not thin but no great depth.
