Black currant, black pepper, blackberries, chocolate, coffee. Medium to full bodied, good tannins and acidity. I think it will hold well.

I'm so torn with this wine.. (and yes, I know it is infanticide, but I always like seeing what these young Margauxs have to offer before they sleep for a while.) Amyway- I'm torn because the wine is actually quite enjoyable once it opens up (about 3-4 hrs in), but it is missing that signature Margaux scent that may develop with age.

Dark plummy fruit both on the nose and the palate, a touch of chocolate and dark-roasted coffee beans. Tannins are definitely daunting and a bit austere, but it seems this is in for the long haul. With time it becomes chewy and dark, laden with black cassis fruit.. almost new world in style. A hint of violet develops on the nose.

Would appease a Napa cab fan who doesn't mind a nice dry, tannic finish, but I'll hold off on more until the perfume becomes more Margaux-esque.

Lighter heavy red if that makes sense lol we smelled hickory, cherry and currants. Finished the bottle quickly because it was good

Dark ruby, currants, tobacco on this very nice left bank Bordeaux from Margaux. Great for 2014!

I thought 6 years was long enough to wait for a first taste of a wine that will develop for another 20-30 years. Right now it’s brighter and fruitier than will be allowed in full maturity. But still lots of dark fruits: plums, currants, blueberry. Hints of violets. None of the deep chewy leather and wet stone notes that are sure to come. Tannins are subdued right now. So it’s very drinkable at this young age.

So rich! Lush scents of black fruit, vanilla and forest floor. Brewed espresso, leather, black plum and spice. Finish that is a mile long. Best served with wonderful friends!

Probably a bit young. It's certainly tightly wound. Bright red and blue fruit at the first. Medium tannin. Spice, including anise, and Forrest floor. After a couple of hours, the tannins seem oddly firmer. Picking up more chocolate and tobacco notes, along with plum. Really great wine. I'll need to sit on my other bottles for a few years, though.

Great Value. Let me say that again - Great Value. Bordeaux style and Margaux pedigree at a price that makes this a $ Pick for 2017.
