Classic Margaux. Nice flinty aromatics with integrated oak. Smooth rich mid palate still some tannin in the finish. Well done

Dec 26th, 2017I want like this wine more. Why? I own more of it and lascombes and lichine are some of my go to Margauxs. This took a solid 2 hours to open. Upon opening nothing on the follow the flavor was all up front and heavy on the alcohol. After two hours the fruit showed up, medium bodied and a touch dry on the finish. Btw went to a 2016 Bordeaux tasting. Bees knees! not saying you can justify the price but the 16 of lichine was great

Mar 9th, 2019Fantastic wine. One that you don't want the bottle to end. Got in wine bar priced incorrectly for 20 quid

Dec 31st, 20152009 Vintage. Beefy, cocoa, very slight mustiness/aerosol aromas in the nose along with a pinch of brown sugar. Medium body. Fairly smooth tannins leading to a medium sweet chocolate cake finish. Good bang for the buck-especially for Margaux. Only disappointment is the short-lived finish.

Nov 25th, 2015A great second bottling of one of our favorite Margaux Chateaus. This is drinking nicely, but clearly need more time in the cellar.
