Le Cloître Margaux Red Bordeaux Blend

Classic Margaux. Nice flinty aromatics with integrated oak. Smooth rich mid palate still some tannin in the finish. Well done

I want like this wine more. Why? I own more of it and lascombes and lichine are some of my go to Margauxs. This took a solid 2 hours to open. Upon opening nothing on the follow the flavor was all up front and heavy on the alcohol. After two hours the fruit showed up, medium bodied and a touch dry on the finish. Btw went to a 2016 Bordeaux tasting. Bees knees! not saying you can justify the price but the 16 of lichine was great

Vintage 2005 - good smell with minerals, pencilshaving, cassis, vanilla. Silky taste, a Point. Very nice wine with refinement.

Bon nez et finesse

Not bad but not that interesting either. Not as much weight to it as I expected when I lined it up to a steak.

Very rich flavors of cassis and mint and dark fruit enhanced by a classic Medoc cab nose. Very enjoyable now and long into the future
