Crazy-cool nose of black dusty soil, smoked beef, dried herbs, and black fruit. A lot of acidity and tannin, more than expected. Really good.

83 vintage was showing strong tannin still... Lovely wine, everything there but definitely in to secondary flavour characteristics. Even this far back Pontet-Canet was punching above it's 5th growth status. #mtlwinethrowdown
