Lovely drop at $26, I wish more bordeaux offered the value this does, and released when the wine was actually ready....old school style, sweat and warm earth, with merlot woodsy-ness, tobacco and plum sauce, with a kiss of vanilla and clove. Palate is earthy and refined, with silky moderate tannins and balanced acidity. Not going to knock anyone out with concentration, but this examples great harmony and drinking pleasure now. Quelle plaisance! 2005 vintage.

A bit underwhelming. I expected something ridiculous out of a 2005 Bordeaux that is now 10 years old. Instead... I got something good. EDIT: Tried this again in 2016, with grilled rack of lamb, and I'm changing my opinion. This wine is absolutely in its prime right now, taking on a brown tint and caramellizing its tannins a bit. At times I felt like I was drinking an aged Brunello. Fantastic wine.

Currant, tabacco, cedar, nice medium body, good texture, silky granite-toned tannins, classic Bordeaux.

Bordeaux Red Blend (75% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Cabernet Franc). Ripe dried berry/currant aromas and flavors with additional notes of vanilla, caramel and coffee. Smooth tannins and long finish. Thank You Ron B!

Traditional Bordeaux Red Blend (75% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Cabernet Franc). Intense aromas of bold red fruit, spices and oak. Same red fruit on the pallet with notes of tobacco and black berry. Good structure and grip. Revisited in April 2023. Above notes apply.

Inky dark in the glass. Barnyard and geraniums on initial opening. Coffee, dark chocolate, dark fruits on the nose, but fairly restrained. Beautiful sweet dark cherry fruit with a lovely balance of tannin and acidity in the mouth. Drink now or in a year or two.
