Hmmmmm... So this has a nose of raisins, candied cumquats, wax, orange peel; fat palette, distinctly lacking in acidity. Like Gerard Depardieu - pungent but forgettable. Nay good.

Crémant de Loire, Appellation Crémant de Loire Contrôlée, 12% pas dosé.
Bottle tasted in October 2012.
There must have been some reaction indeed the bottle because the cork was encrusted with sugar grains.
The wine was not exactly faulty, but the nose had lost all flavors.
In the mouth it only tasted of white pears, not unpleasant but not much excitement either.

Oct 25th, 2014Classic method from Loire region, 13%. Organic wine made with Chenin Blanc grapes. Rich, intense, golden yellow color. Nose is initially quite closed, but it's intriguing. In the mouth it's well structured, very acidic and alcoholic too. Honey, licorice root, and rather sapid. Fine bubbles. 81/100
