Lalande de Pomerol Merlot Blend

Great value for 2010 Pomerol.

At under $30 retail this is a great bottle of Bordeaux. More blue fruits and balanced tannins. Find it and buy it.

Funky. Green. Herbaceous. Tart. Good value.

Soft and smooth. Paired nicely with our prime rib dinner.

Hows well with cheese and crackers on the patio.

Medium tannins, dark berries, will go nicely with steaks tonight.

2007 is drinking well. Dark chocolate pencil with plum notes. Very smooth.

Day 1 (one hour open):
Dark garnet color good clarity, boiled leather and stewed cherry on the nose. Nice mineral note, coffee bean, cocoa, toast, still very tannic, mouth-coating, bit powdery on the back side. Lots of grip. Almost salty. Finishes with bite.
Day 2 (sixteen hours open):
Oxblood color, lingering stewed cherry scent, concentrated cola flavor, but savory - very cool. Tannins dispersed, still nice weight. Delicious.
