Oh my ... my last again. I’m impressed by this bottle of exquisite Merlot. Drinking at its peak, in my opinion. Soft, velvet in the mouth, with a firm mid palette and a perfumed, lavender-like finish that intoxicates. Continued to improve and evolve over the evening and reminded me that you can’t rush a river...you must let nature take it’s time and then magic happens.

Always an emotional moment a great aged Palmer! This is pure love from me to the wine, it’s smooth en delicate and pure elegance. 12% alcohol is perfect for me and it’s so good with our aspergerisotto. This is pure joy and wine as wine must be😋

Ok it’s not the greatest year, but this wine is very nice. A real classic Margaux with stil some dark forest fruit, some pencil and a box filled with vanilla stuffed Havana’s. Not a full bodied wine but a real charmer.

A delicious wine. For me notes of chocolate and cherry but not fruit forward. Needs airing or you'll get some earth which I don't like. . A real Margaux with no excuse to be lesser. Would I buy the bottle at $150, No but at $49 it was well worth it.

Like many 1988s. Is starting to open up. Got that Palmer mulberry Merlot quality. Lacks refinement compared to the better Palmer vintages.

Floral and mature. Unlike the 90 I'd drink this now as I think it's starting to head south but still should last another ten years. Soft evolved nice of spices and plums. Lovely effort.

Younger sis. More primary, bell pepper-dominated. Came alive with lamb.
