The cork was totally soaked through so I wasn’t expecting much. Yet, with some air this developed pretty well. Some funk and bright read fruit. This wasn’t at the level of other 98s I’ve had but still good despite the cork.

Intense perfume of dried sour cherries and tobacco. Same on the palate, with a savory quality. Unique and intriguing. Maybe slightly more mature than I would have hoped for a 21 year wine of this quality, but this is my first Musar, so maybe it is exactly where it needs to be.
