Aile d'Argent Blanc Bordeaux White Bordeaux Blend

Not much acidity.

Delectable noted this as a red, but it is indeed a white Bordeaux.

The big boy of the group was the Aile d'Argent, the white wine from Mouton Rothschild. Big oak in the nose showing ripe, sweet fruits, vanilla, and loads of joie de vivre. With air the opened dramatically, revealing a depth and complexity that this wine was meant to show. It's largesse is even buffered with 30% blocked malo.

Backwards and massive in layers and complexity; though more acidity would be nice, I think the high Semillon content is the blame for that but also the source for some of its greatness. Tropical pineapple, lychee, wet cement. #fullmoonwine

Really enjoyed this wine. Rich and full body. Not a vanilla bomb. Ver smooth and soft finish. Yum.

One of the best white wines I have ever tasted. Some think it's got too much finesse. I found it just right. After ordering a bottle at the Andaz Tokyo and really enjoying it I bought a 12 bottle case. Can age for several more years.

The white Mouton is quite rare but if you like a broad white Bordeaux this is a perfect choice

In a few years I think the acid will mellow a little and this will become more rounded and even better
