Deep to medium garnet red. A little stinky on the nose, with some spices and red berries. Medium tannins (6.5/10) and medium plus to full bodied. Power comes through on the palate with cherries, currants and earthy. Medium plus to long and well integrated. Drink till 2022.

2003 mag. From a technical standpoint, I would say it was pure, silky AWESOMENESS.

Fun to drink; not a lot of dimension.

Absolutely lovely wine.. Great value then bought @ $55 and sitting in cellar for 8/9 years and drinking beautifully ... Leather, Eucalyptus, red and black currants, light but lasting in palate, soft tannins and balanced acidity to carry! Perfect paring to Lobster on the Grill

Had this a couple of weeks ago. We don’t have a lot of bordeaux in our cellar, mainly because it takes so many years for them to come into their own. Case in point is this 2003. While it was reasonably approachable when young, it’s now beautifully integrated. Will have to take a look at what else we have resting down there…

T.A. Returns to S.D. 7/7/2018: Just as you say “I’m done for the night “, someone shows up late with a Margaux. What are you supposed to do? You stay and drink it of course!
