Haut-Médoc Cru Bourgeois Red Bordeaux Blend

A Barton & Guestier wine, Blend of 45% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot, 13% Cabernet Franc and 2% Petit Verdot, deep Ruby with aromas of black fruits, spice and dried herbs. On the palate flavors of blackberry, currants and ripe cherry with cedar spice and forest herbs. Fine firm tannins, medium+ finish ending with fruit, cedar and earthy character. Good value!

Sweet cherries up front and spicy on the finish. Old world style Bordeaux Haut-Medoc. Pairing with braised pork chops.

Mould taste, maybe I was not lucky with this bottle… did not disappeared after 1 h…

Good wine but nothing exceptional. Good pairing with our cheese raclette and red meat. Long finish.

I bought this wine in 2014. I was reading that if I kept it until 2017 it was going to be much better. I drink it in March 2018 and it was very rich, with notes of ripe red fruits and berries, and some woody notes

Too sour/acid

Full flavor, aggressive. Near the limit of my taste in that direction. Any fuller and I would find it too harsh.
