Dark cherry, coffee grinds, fresh dirt. Decanted for an hour. Still very tight.

Mûr, onctueux et court en bouche, déjà évolué (souci de bouteille?), décevant

Leather, dirt, rocks, ripe plums.

Smooth, structured, dark fruits, a bit of earth. Merlot is showcased, but ready to drink. At Firewood in Park City for anniversary dinner. Perfect pairing with food, typical French complement to all on the plate, but particularly the ny strip and a bavette. AWM

So cool to taste this he day after I had 1989 franc mayne. This Magdelaine is a baby. Delicious but barely showing its potential. Very similar in style to the franc mayne, with maybe more oak.

Beautiful St Emilion- plump, yet restrained with good earth, minerality, and herbal underpinnings.
