#pomerol that has perhaps peaked a few years back. Some primary black fruit on the nose still, leather, tilled earth. Youthful fruit on the palate, but a bit flat on the palate though tannins were typically silky. A wine that has held up for my wife’s 40th birthday but I hedged my bets with two other regions/varietals of the same vintage. Expectations were really high on this one - I’m a bit disappointed.
