Tonight I have opened the 2011 Château Lestrille Entre-Deux-Mers Sauvignon Blanc. This is a blend of predominantly Sauvignon Blanc and a little bit of Muscadelle.
On the nose there is lime, grapefruit, white peach, guava, white flowers, herbaceous note and minerality.
On the palate there is green apple, lime, white peach, nectarine, grass, river rock and a good mineral backing.
This is a medium bodied wine with medium + to high acidity that pleasingly moves right into a long crisp fresh citrus finish with more minerals right on the end. As we continue to move out of seclusion and more and more businesses start to open back up, please remember to respect others and maintain social distancing.
