Dark garnet in color. On the nose—Mushroom, dark plum and currants, wet rock lingers throughout with sweet scents of cream brûlée. Taste is very different - initially on the tongue dark raspberry plum, as you drink the wine caramel chocolate coffee come out nicely and a minerally dry long finish.

1999 a "difficult" vintage in Bordeaux with lots of rain throughout September...but many in Pomerol picked before the rain.

1 hour decant (some chunky sediment). An astonishing dark garnet color with just a little bricking on the edges. On the nose: plum, mushroom, red currents, wet rocks, earthy, vanilla, and green bell pepper. Taste: little bit of raspberry/plum, chocolate, espresso, with a dry minerally finish. Nice acidity...enjoyed this interesting expression from a tough year.

Front part of pallet was dry, but good mouth feel with berries on back end. Over all nice bottle
