I have to admit I expected more for the vintage and for the region. It wasn’t bad, but drinking its contemporaries it could’ve been so much better, especially considering the price! Cut the price in half and it would score much higher.

Nose is not overpowering. Very tannic, but with sufficient dried dark and red and fruit to round it out. Some spiciness is balanced without being overly peppery nor warm.

For a Grand Cru it's pretty crap. Not much taste at all, colour is nice.
