2005 vintage. Another nice surprise with an old Blaye wine. Old Merlot (75%), Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc vines. Perfectly mature, but by no means tired, with a slightly smokey nose with dried plums and a hint of leather. It it still energetic, has some complexity and good length. Very nice indeed. Abv. 12,5%.
