Laidback black plum and spice. A little bit shy at first.

Excellent and mellow. French wine is not as big and bold like red wines in the US. This is a great example. Good cherry fruit and a mineral finish. Light and dry finish.

Delicious woody, earthy nose. Medium to medium full. Unclear if 14.5 is accurate. It doesn’t feel that big. Very well balanced and buttoned up.

An elegant wine reminding us the with a pronounced old world funk on the nose that this is indeed a Bordeaux. Had a 2010 in Jan 2020 and decanted it for two hours. It still feels like a youth who believes they have reached maturity and are rating too go...but just needs a tiny bit more time. Nevertheless 2hours decanting did work wonders. Beautiful color with hints of mushrooms and forest floor and maybe cloves or nutmeg. Mellowed tannins on the backend with medium to low acidity.

The 2011 might have just ripen enough in 2018. Starts with some concentrated red fruit, some fungus and continues with quite some acidity and tannins. Still potential and might develop well on the bottle.

Smooth fruit and dry. This bottle seemed more dry than others that I have had. A great bargain wine.

You cannot go too wrong with St. Emilion Region. If you like Cab Franc - this is really nice. A good bang for the buck!
