A wine starting to show its soul. A decade or more to go in the cellar, but exhibiting loamy and saline cassis and dried cherry, herbs du Provence, sexy sausage with plenty of verve left aromatically. Ridiculously good for the money. Predominantly Merlot

Nov 18th, 2015Drank this wine accompanied by Jonathan Maltus and his wife Lyn, the owners of the Chateau since they were kind enough to accept a dinner invitation! Clear, deep ruby. Clean, medium intensity nose, dark fruit, chocolate, leather. Full body, medium acidity, medium level of tannins (very silky). Flavours of plums, cherries, chocolate. Long finish. Very good.
