Classic old Bordeaux, blackurrant, velvety on the plate. Super integrated tannins. Fresh hay, just slightly earthy, still very fresh. The only the thing that indicates it's ready to drink is how soft it is.

Jul 10th, 2020Not sure how to analyze this for I don’t have many opportunities to taste 1st growth Bordeaux but when you find a case of it in the basement of your new house, what the hell. Surprised how long it has taken to open. No signs of slowing down; no browning color. Acid very much still there. Fruit shows up 2 hours down the road. Food helps it show true body.
