Madiran Tannat

(16.5/20) Интенсивный гранатовый цвет. Насыщенный аромат вишни, жимолости, бузины с нотами табака, кожи, шоколада, фенхеля, кориандра. Относительно высокая кислотность, гладкие танины. Долгое послевкусие.

Wine Traditions

Terroir driven uniqueness. Needed time to present itself. Was wonderful accompanied by a charcuterie plate. Could not stand on its own.

Very tight, even after decant

2 hour decant. Tannat lives up to its name, this is bracing even after the long decant. Pomegranate, oak, leather, medium finish. Great, perfect with roast chicken, but somehow lacking in mystery.

My first from this region, Tannat dominated blend. Not bad but not distinctive either...

Nope sure how this got in to my collection. Was very closed and a bit funky on opening ~ opened up second night with plum, pomegranate and a touch of spice. Good body and acidity. Pleasant enough at last, if simple.

Light and old worldly. Dried cherries, anise, dust - yet still bright.

We had the 2013, we liked it with duck, not overly strong flavor

Fantastic bistro wine, tannat dominates, great acidity, vibrant.
