Birth year tastings, evening 4. Warm cherry pastry, creamy, liqueur-like impressions, plums, stewed fruit, suppleness, spiciness, very juicy, not overly layered, but all the more seductive. Good length. Tannins almost fully integrated.

Soft plummy fruit, pastry notes, cappuccino and hints of milk chocolate. Although the structure of this wine is slightly firm and masculine, the fruit is ripe, plush and smooth as silk. In the back there are still some considerable tannines that need to be shed. Beautiful wine, though!

2006. Guessed Penfolds grange at first and then a cab franc. Grassy and panadol at first. Smooth tannin and mild body. Three hours in decanter went down the slope and turn into a tannic beast. Skim.
